My gutters overflow every storm. Is it the gutters or the drain?
There's a quick way to tell. Clear the gutter, then run a garden hose into the top of the downpipe. If the water backs up and spills out of the gutter, the blockage is in the downpipe or the stormwater line underground, and cleaning the gutter again won't fix it. If it runs away freely, the gutter itself is too small or has lost its fall. We can check both on one visit.
