Water pools against my house after rain. Is that a plumbing problem?
Often, yes. On a sloping block the stormwater system has to carry roof and surface water away from the house. When a pit silts up, a line breaks or a fall is wrong, the water stops wherever the ground stops it, and that's usually against a wall. We trace it from the downpipes to the legal point of discharge and repair the part that's failed.
